Description

The Hat Best Unworn is a tasteful top hat done in a fetching black silk. The shiny onyx circumference of the Hat is circled by a very spartan and appealing white ribbon, just above the wide brim. The interior of the Hat is lined with slim-cut velvet, making is a comfortable fit for any size head.

Powers

The Hat evokes different effects depending on the way in which it is used.

Worn

Once The Hat is placed on a head, it may not be removed until the wearer is dead. While worn, it grants the wearer +10 to all rolls involving luck (Even if you're using a 1d6 system!), and allows the wearer to become invisible and intangible at any time. Unfortunately, it also slowly drives the victim insane, violently so, until they are eventually compelled to kill everyone they love, and destroy all that they have ever made.

Unworn

When held in a hand, brim-up, the Hat is capable of summoning Demonic, Angelic or Fae creatures by invoking the name of the creature to be summoned and tapping the brim of the hat with any wand or stick (the item must be straight, and at least six inches long). This binds the creature to a single service, after which they are free to kill the summoner.

When the Hat is held but not worn, it also promotes dramatic situations (IE: causing a car to swerve off a bridge during a chase, or ensuring that vehicles, when lit on fire, will always explode).

Worn Improperly

Attempting to wear the hat on any area other than the head will cause it to devour the offender.
