The Cane of Disproportionate Response is an artifact of considerable power, considered equally difficult to use.
Appearance
The Cane is three and a half feet long, lovingly constructed of an unidentified hardwood, then polished to a gleam. The straight length of the cane is topped by a diamond in a thin layer of golden leaf, worked into a rather lacy five-pointed star, which curls slightly away from the head. In the center of this star is a thumb-sized emerald of the highest quality.
Powers
The Cane of Disproportionate Response has a single identified power- disproportionate response. Blows inflicted with the cane appear to have an entirely random force associated with them, and the force returned to the owner through the cane differs yet still. Objects which strike the cane also evoke this property.
Curse?
All the previous owners of the Cane of Disproportionate Response have lived chaotic, horrible lives until suspicious death. Rumor holds that the Cane itself rewards or punishes the one who holds it for every action they make, furthermore contending that it never does so in proportion (Ie: stealing a chocolate bar might be met with death by slow torture). This has never been confirmed.
