From Tel'Laerad Wiki
The Azure Blade is a weapon forged by the last Magus of Valoris, End, in a misguided attempt to create a utopia after arriving at the pinnacle of power; he found himself in an empty world devoid of life, emotion, or movement. The sword itself was grafted of an highly conductive alloy known only as Azurite and enchanted using the life force of billions and the raw energies of countless sorcerers. With the intricately lain circuits and conduits, the artifact is able to transmute this energy into reality, imposing a fake "truth" upon existance by overwhelming the rules that bind a place.
Appearance
It has been seen differently by many men, however all descriptions elude to a silver, divine blade that radiates the glow of a distant cosmos, and a hilt crafted of pure gold. This, however, is nothing but a forced illusion on the mind. Beyond that is nothing but a gnarled blade forged of a blue crystalline substance.
Powers
Many have assumed the blade grants true wishes and immortality, however this is little close to the truth. Its mere existance is a heresy to creation and upon its edge rides the grudges and sorrow of all who power it. It draws upon the now fused energies it claimed eons ago and utilizes it to force its wielder's will upon existance, however rarely in the way the wisher expects, and never once holding back. Once, a despondant child wished that everyone would go away; this was the case, with a soothing glow, he never once saw another living thing on the planet until the hour of his demise. How the energy is translated into such a potent force is unknown, only its creator, End, is aware. Rumor has it the weapon possesses some form of sentinence, but no truth has ever been revealed.
History
After its creation and subsequent use to recreate Valoris, it was left adrift in deep space, occasionally finding its way to a populated world. Each of these worlds met an eventually calamity, and each time the blade was rejected. It was finally used to repel the blow of a planet-destroying meteor; a divine judgement upon a planet, and the resulting damage left it floating and crippled among an asteroid field. End was eventually resurrected, and the blade now resides in the Golden Palace of All-Mighty Knowledge, ready to be wielded once again by its true master.
